Today’s guest was
Jane Bermont, the President of Hope High Dollars for Scholars,
an organizations committed to help Hope High School students with college scholarships. Our host today was Paola Varella.
Paola leads Jane Bermont into today’s Life Skills class to meet her fellow students.
Paola introduces Mrs Bermont to her classmates to begin today’s class. There’s nothing like a smile to make guests feel welcomed. Great job, Paola.

Mrs Bermont begins to share her personal story, from growing up in Providence, attending and graduating from Hope High, matriculating and graduating from Tufts University in Boston, her career as a business consultant to starting ‘Hope High Dollars for Scholars‘ scholarship fund to help Hope High students with their college costs.
Paola follows up with Mrs Bermont at the end of today’s class to ‘thank’ her for coming to the Life Skills class.
Thank you, Mr. Cronin, for inviting me to your class today. The Board of Hope High Dollars for Scholars has worked hard to provide scholarships benefit Hope High students so it’s wonderful to meet some prospective applicants. I hope those of you who read Michelle Obama’s book, “Becoming”, will let me know how you like it. If anyone plans to look at colleges in the Boston area, stay in touch and if I can connect you with another Hope grad at that school, I will.
